Kevin Danso Sends Message of Sympathy to Kylian Mbappe After Injury

Austria Center-Back Felt Responsible for Mbappe's Facial Injury

"You win some, you lose some, but we keep going," Danso Says

Following the Nations League match between Austria and France, Austrian center-back Kevin Danso has expressed sympathy for French striker Kylian Mbappe, who sustained a facial injury during the game.

Danso, who plays for Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, took to Instagram to send Mbappe a message of support. "You win some, you lose some, but we keep going," he wrote. "Hope you recover quickly, Kylian."

The injury occurred in the first half of the match when Danso attempted to clear a cross and accidentally caught Mbappe in the face. Mbappe was forced to leave the game and was later diagnosed with a fractured cheekbone.

Danso has since apologized for the incident and said that he feels responsible for Mbappe's injury. "I'm really sorry about what happened," he said. "I didn't mean to hurt him, and I hope he recovers quickly."

Mbappe's injury is a major blow to France, who are preparing for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The French Football Federation has not yet said how long Mbappe will be out of action, but it is likely that he will miss the team's upcoming matches against Denmark and Croatia.
